On late April, Cartier launched "Cartier Watchmaking Encounters", a digital platform dedicated to its 2020 new timepieces. The edition, named as “Unexpected Encounters”, highlights the Maison’s expertise in founding new shapes and ideas through its timepiece creations.
1. Pasha de Cartier
The Pasha de Cartier introduces a new version of its chained crown, where Cartier equips the winding crown with a blue spinel or sapphire. The watch is complemented with an innovative strap, which allows all versions (steel, gold, leather) to be easily interchanged with the Cartier-developed QuickSwitch system. Meanwhile, the SmartLink system enables owners to adjust the bracelet length with only a push button.
2. Santos de Cartier
The Santos-Dumont XL has its model reworked with an enlarged and taut dial, and is powered by the 430 MC calibre with manual winding. The Santos-Dumont “Le Brésil” is one of the limited versions with platinum case and ruby winding crown.
3. Maillon de Cartier
With rectangular links chained for its bracelet, a hexagonal dial, and bevelled brancards, the Maillon de Cartier presents an ultra-feminine elegance. The collection is available in yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold, and with or without diamonds on the bezel and bracelet.
4. Cartier Privé
The new Tank Asymétrique to Cartier Privé’s collection has its numerals off-set by 30° to the right, and two horizontal shafts connected by two oblique ones. It is available in traditional and skeleton version which showcases the new 9623 MC skeleton movement. Both come in made-to-measure straps fitted with an ardillon buckle and have three versions-each limited to 100 pieces.
