PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga) together with AccorHotels and Mastercard recently launched its very first co-branded credit card in Indonesia” CIMB Niaga Le Club AccorHotels Card”. This new credit card aimed to support the lifestyle of people who travel for both leisure and business, by providing a variety of benefits and transaction convenience in AccorHotels networks throughout the world.
“The collaboration of CIMB Niaga, AccorHotels and Mastercard can maximize the credit card business potential in the hospitality sector, in line with the lifestyle trends of people who like to travel,” CIMB Niaga Consumer Banking Director Lani Darmawan says.
CIMB Niaga Le Club AccorHotels cards are launched in two types, which are Platinum for emerging consumers and World for frequent travellers. This credit card will enable customers to pay at over 4,600 AccorHotels properties in over 100 countries globally. Every transaction using this credit card will earn reward points that can be exchanged for free stays in AccorHotels properties worldwide.
AccorHotels Chief Operating Officer Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and South Asia, Garth Simmons said the fast-growing middle class in Indonesia and the group’s strong network in the country meant it made sense to partner with Indonesia’s second largest bank to launch a co-branded credit card.
“AccorHotels is the largest international operator of hotels in Indonesia with over 120 hotels and, with domestic tourism predicted to reach 275 million tourists by 2019, we believe Indonesia is the perfect market to launch AccorHotels’ first-ever co-branded credit card in the world,” he said. “This partnership with CIMB Niaga Bank will allow us to increase the value proposition for our Le Club AccorHotels loyalty members in Indonesia and offer them even richer benefits,” Garth says.
With a more aspirational appeal, the CIMB Niaga Platinum Le Club AccorHotels card comes with welcome bonuses, exclusive offers, as well as access to AccorHotels events and travel privileges. The same advantages and other additional benefits will also be given to CIMB Niaga World Le Club AccorHotels cardholders.
CIMB Niaga World Le Club AccorHotels cardholders will be able to fast-track to Silver status membership with Accor Plus, the Group’s hotel, dining and lifestyle programme, which includes a free night at selected AccorHotels’ properties in Asia Pacific (APAC) and 50% discount privileges in over 1100 restaurants.
In addition to these benefits, CIMB Niaga Le Club AccorHotels credit card holders can enjoy various benefits for their travel convenience. These include free access to the Airport Lounge; insurance protection for purchases, accidents and travel inconveniences; fixed-installment facilities with a light interest of 36 months; and competitive currency values.
