After four years of successfully serving its signature cheesecakes to the public, DORÉ by LeTAO recently opened The Pancake Co. by DORÉ, a café that introduces soufflé pancake in Indonesia. Located at the lower ground of Plaza Senayan, the café features an authentic soufflé pancake based on the original recipe from Japan and is the signature menu of Japan famous confectioner's LeTAO Café in Asia.

Using imported premium ingredients, the souffle pancake is unique in its own. It is thick yet gives soft and fluffy texture which can easily melt, jiggly even upon the slightest shake, unlike the classic thin and more solid pancake. The sweetness is measured just right, and a plate of two pancakes comes with a cup of ice cream serving and fresh sauce topping - depending on which flavor you are ordering - each of them making the overall taste balanced. The original one for example, comes with fresh maple syrup, vanilla ice cream, and nama cream, and there are also other seasonal tastes available only on certain occasions.

Still attaching itself with LeTAO’s signature cheese concept, The Pancake Co. provides customers with variety of cheese-based menu. Other than soufflé pancake, there are also brunch, light bite menus and main courses such as truffled steak donburi and lobster roll, as well as choices of tea, coffee, and smoothies. The Pancake Co. held its grand opening on April 2, after serving almost 4,000 plates of pancakes during the three weeks of its soft opening period.

DORÉ by LeTAO is the sister brand of Japan famous confectioner LeTAO known for its double fromage cheesecake. The brand was first brought to Indonesia in 2016 by PT Omiyage Inc, headed by Riki Kono Basmeleh as the director. By April 2019, DORÉ by LeTAO has six stores in Jakarta, while The Pancake Co. is said to open more outlets in the city soon.
