British supercar manufacturer Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) is partnering up with Jakarta-based luxury car dealer The Djakarta Auto (TDA) in bringing the Mono series to the Indonesian market. The Mono is the world’s only road-legal, single-seater supercar. In general, the shape of the Mono reminds us of the like of the Ariel Atom, but the Atom is a two-seater.
BAC claims to implement the very latest racing technology and is regarded as the ultimate piece of sporting equipment for the sport of driving. Mono focuses solely on the person behind the wheel; it’s a racecar
for the road with the latest racing technology and automotive innovations with genuine track pedigree and on-road adjustability. Designed, engineered, and managed by experts with backgrounds in several leading automotive, high-end supercar, and motorsport brands, Mono is a luxury vehicle that owners can tailor to their exact specifications. From performance to unique vehicle aesthetics, Mono drivers are offered a truly bespoke customer experience as every single Mono rolled out of BAC’s factory in Liverpool, England is one of a kind vehicle.
The Mono’s engine has a maximum power of 305 horsepowers, a maximum torque of 308 Newton Meters, displacement of 2,488 cc, and a fuel capacity of 35 liters. With it, the car can go up to 170 km/h and reaches 0 to 96 km in just 2.7 seconds. One of the most impressive features of the Mono is its weight, measured at an impressively light 580 kilograms. Like the Atom, the Mono has no windshield. Thus, the driver should wear a helmet to prevent the wind from tearing up the face when speeding in the car.
BAC Mono comes in any bespoke colors requested by customers. According to BAC, there will be four Mono cars arriving in Indonesia within the next 6 months – three of the Monos already sold-out. Besides the four units, TDA says new buyers have to wait up to 1.5 years for their order to be delivered.
